Upper Canada Skating Club Mission Statement

Upper Canada Skating Club (UCSC) offers programs for all skaters. From beginner skaters to Canada's best, we provide an excellent environment for everyone to learn, have fun and strive for excellence.

Our Beginner CanSkate program is an excellent badge and recreational program.

The Junior, Intermediate, Senior and Advanced sessions provide participants with an opportunity to develop their skating ability in a positive environment.

Our Competitive and Competitive Dance programs allow the opportunity for our members to compete at the highest levels, both nationally and internationally.

The Upper Canada Skating Club has always prided itself with having a high caliber coaching staff, one of the best in the country. Many of our coaches have been National Champions and International competitors. We have produced quite an array of distinguished skaters, both Olympic and International skaters as well as National Champions who have carried the Upper Canada name around the world.

Club Rules

• Skates must be worn on the ice.
• Jeans/shorts are not acceptable on the ice.
• Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
• Eating, drinking (except bottled water) and gum chewing is not permitted on the ice.

• Defacing of club/arena property is prohibited and will result in loss of skating privileges.
• Please help keep the viewing area, dressing rooms and washrooms clean.
• Only designated music operators and professional coaches are permitted to use the music equipment.

• CSA approved hockey helmets are mandatory for all CanSkate skaters.
• Skaters must not go on the ice until their session begins.
• Doors leading to the ice surface are to be kept closed and latched.
• Parents of skaters 10 and under must remain on the premises for their child's entire session.
• Skaters must not use the benches in the viewing area to put on or take off skates. Please use the change rooms.
