Pre-School 3 & 4 Years old
This program introduces the fundamentals of skating to very young children (age 3+). It is a half-hour group lesson with a professional coach (maximum of 5 skaters per group). The coach will be on the ice during the entire session. Skaters will be grouped according to ability and age. Toys, other props and visual aids will be used during the lessons. Circuits and trails will be drawn on the ice for skaters to learn and practice their skills.
Assessment will be an ongoing basis rather than having a set assessment day, allowing skaters to progress at their own speed. For those who master the Pre-School skills will advance to the Pre-CanSkate program.
CSA approved hockey helmets with face masks (cages) and chip straps are mandatory.
Parents are not allowed on the ice.
Parents of skaters 10 years and under MUST remain on the premises during their child’s entire session.
No private lessons are available on this session.
