Club Programs
The Club offers Learn to Skate program (CanSkate) and Figure Skating program (STARSkate) to skaters ages 3 and up.
CanSkate
Pre-CanSkate -ages 3-5
CanSkate 1-6 -ages 6-12 OR have passed Pre-CanSkate.
Teen Learn to Skate - ages 13-17, beginners and skaters at the learn to skate skill level.
Adult Learn to Skate - 18+, beginners and skaters at the learn to skate skill level.
STARSkate
STAR 1 - must have passed CanSkate Stage 6.
Group lesson format; additional private lessons are optional.
STAR 2 - must have passed all 3 STAR 1 tests.
Group lesson format; additional private lessons are optional.
STAR 3 -10
Must hire a private coach for at least one 15 min. lesson for each skating day.
STAR 3 - must have passed STAR 2 Skills, FreeSkate Elements and Dances.
STAR 4 - must have passed STAR 3 Skills, FreeSkate Elements & Program AND Skills; OR STAR 3 Skills & STAR 4 & 5 Dances.
STAR 5-10 - must have passed STAR 4 Skills, FreeSkate Elements & Program AND Skills; OR STAR 4 Skills & STAR 6 Dances.
Adult STARSkate - 18+, Skaters should have strong basic skating skills and are working on figure skating skills, freeskate and/or dances.
Must hire a private coach for at least one 15 min. lesson for each skating day.
CanSkate Private Lessons
Optional for skaters in the CanSkate 1-6 program; Skate on a separate session for private lessons only; Additional cost (ice fee & private lesson fee); Contact coaches directly for their rate and availability.
Guest Skating
Club Member - For STARSkaters registered in the STAR 3, 4, 5-10 or Adult STARSkate session.
Non-Club Member - must have a valid Skate Canada membership; skating at the STAR 3 and above level.
Coaches not contracted by Upper Canada SC are not allowed to coach on our guest skating sessions.
