Assessment and Test Days 2018-2019

Canskaters

Skaters on the Pre-School, Pre-CanSkate and CanSkate sessions are assessed each time they are on the ice. Once all the elements for that stage have been mastered a passing Chit is issued by the group coach. The skater then brings the Chit into the office to get the badge and/or ribbon that corresponds to the level.

STAR 1 - 5 Assessments

There will be one assessment week per month for skaters who are ready to be assessed. Skaters will be assessed by their own coach during their session. Coaches will inform parent/skater that the skater is ready for assessment with all the details (what is the test that the skater will be doing, assessment date, what to expect, what to wear etc.) at least 2 weeks prior to the assessment date. Rules and format set out by Skate Canada must be followed. Test fee must be paid on or before the deadline. Skaters WILL NOT be allowed to test if test fee is not received by the deadline. Even if assessment has been done by the coach, test result WILL NOT be submitted to Skate Canada. No exception.  Test fees (exact cash, no cheques) must be enclosed in the test envelopes that are provided. The office will not have extra envelopes. Dates will be determined by the Test Chair.
