Figure Skating

Age 16 - 17: Young Adult

Age 18+: Adult


This program is open to skaters age 16 and older who want to improve their figure skating skills. Skaters progress at their own pace and may participate in Skate Canada's STARSkate assessments in Freeskate, Artistic, Dance and Skills with the help of private coaching. Skaters may also choose to take part in various competitions and performances. 

Young Adult skaters may choose to switch to the STAR 1 to 10 level programs at any time if they meet the program criteria.

70 Minute Session

  • 10 minute group warm up
  • 60 minute practice time or private lesson(s) time

Private Lessons

One 15 minute private lesson per skating day is mandatory for ALL skaters on this session. Private lessons are not included in the program fee. You must arrange private lessons directly with a Club Coach.

Young Adult Eligibility

  • Passed either Teen Learn to Skate or CanSkate Stage 6
  • Must be 16  - 17 years old as of September 7, 2024 for the 2024 Fall/Winter Session
  • Must be 16  - 17 years old as of March 17, 2025 for the 2025 Spring Session

  • Skaters should have strong basic skating skills and are working on figure skating skills, freeskate and/or dances.
  • Must be 18 or older as of September 7, 2024 for the 2024 Fall/Winter Session
  • Must be 18 or older as of March 17, 2025 for the 2025 Spring Session
