Summer Private Lessons

Private lessons are run differently in the summer. Email us for details.

Choosing a Coach

  • Coaches have different teaching styles—observe them and speak directly to find the right fit
  • A full list of coaches with contact info is available on our Coaches page
  • Ensure your coach is available on the days your skater attends
  • Club staff and board members cannot recommend specific coaches, as this is considered unethical by Skate Canada

Private Lessons Fees & Payment

  • Private lesson fees are set by each coach
  • Payment must be made directly to the coach
  • Fees cannot be paid through the club office
  • CanSkate 1–6 skaters must register separately and pay an additional ice fee to the club
  • Some coaches offer semi-private lessons (up to 3 skaters); prices vary; contact them directly for details

Changing Coaches?

  • Speak directly with your current coach if you wish to switch
  • Explain your reasons and have an open, respectful discussion
  • Confirm the new coach is available on your skating days
  • Clear any outstanding fees with your current coach before making the switch
